Directions of Activities:

• Controlling and supervising execution of transferred authorities in the fields of organizing and perfecting: air and land protecting forests against fire, protecting forests against forest offence, protecting forests against harmful pests and diseases, rehabilitating forest fund 
• Organizational-methodical managing, coordinating and supporting with regard of perfecting activities of regional organs of executive power in the field of forest relations on issues of forest’s  protection and conservation 
• Coordinating and controlling financial support of works on land and air protection of forests against fire  
• Participating in developing major directions of federal policy, draft documents for Russian Ministry of Agriculture and Rosleskhoz on issues of forest protection and conservation  
• Controlling organization of measures on forest protection and conservation on the territory of Moscow region  
• Organizing and coordinating activities with using Information system of remote monitoring ISDM-Rosleskhoz, as well as controlling monitoring of fire danger in forests, forest pathological, radiological monitoring and monitoring of illegal logging. • Accounting and analyzing forest offence in forest fund, and forest burning; preparing operative  information  
• Controlling preparations for fire season, measures on operative revealing, notifying and fighting wild fire  
• Accounting hotbeds of forest pests, considering projects on liquidating them, accounting sanitary and pathological conditions of forests  
• Interdepartmental coordination within the frames of fighting wild fire, illegal logging, transporting , processing  and illegal turnover of wood  
• Interregional and international cooperation on issues of forest protection and conservation
