Directions of Activities:

• Organizing and coordinating activities of educational and scientific-research institutions under jurisdiction of Rosleskhoz  
• Controlling execution of decisions taken by Federal Forestry Agency in the field of training forestry specialists by subordinate educational institutions 
• Coordinating agreements on   conducting license examination by experts  of professional educational programs  and state accreditation of educational institutions  under jurisdiction of Rosleskhoz 
• Coordinating and supporting innovative and scientific-research activities of educational institutions under jurisdiction of Rosleskhoz  
• Realizing main clauses of state policy on issues of science, education and international cooperation in the field of forestry within the frames of Rosleskhoz  responsibility  
• Compiling plans of scientific-research and experimental works (R&D) 
• Coordinating activities of Public ecological and Scientific-Technical Councils  
• Improving system of vocational training, developing additional and continuous education, and realizing forestry branch  programs on developing education within the sphere of activities of  Federal  Forestry Agency  
• Coordinating interaction of Federal Forestry Agency with mass media, public and international organizations    
• Coordinating activities on preparing for scientific, educational conferences and seminars , organized by initiative or with participation of Rosleskhoz    
• Coordinating functioning of official Internet-site of Rosleskhoz -  www.rosleshoz.gov.ru
• Forming publishing plan  of Rosleskhoz and organizing editorial-publishing activities of Rosleskhoz  
• Promoting implementing international obligations of Russian Federation and developing international cooperation in the field of forestry
