Terms of Conducting VI International Junior Forest Contest Shifted to September 8-11, 2009

Russia, starting from 2004, annually conducts International Junior Forest Contest with the aim of assisting cooperation between youth from different countries of the world, promoting ecologically focused thinking, exchanging silvicultural-ecological knowledge and practical experience as well as attracting attention of the world public of our planet to forest problems.

Thanks to participating at the Contest students of the ages up to 20 years can enrich their knowledge, gain skills and abilities in forest ecology, silviculture and forest protection, forest management and reforestation, what promotes ecological upbringing of younger generation, ecological-silvicultural education and vocational training.

Russian Federation will be represented at VI International Junior Forest Contest by winners of Russian National junior Forest Contest “Young Growth”, which took place on May og current year in Barnaul, Altaisky Krai.
